During this first edition in the Northern Region, La Aurora received the “Legacy and Icon of the Region” award. This distinction recognizes the more than century-long history of the oldest cigar factory in the Dominican Republic.

The award was accepted by Daniela León, a fourth-generation member of the León family and daughter of Don Guillermo León, President of La Aurora.
