Family Creed: Fuerte Sol Signature Collector’s Humidor Marks a Milestone at the Procigar 2026 Gala

Within the framework of the Procigar Festival 2026 Gala Dinner—one of the most anticipated moments of the event—we proudly unveiled the Family Creed: Fuerte Sol Signature Collector’s Humidor, a one-of-a-kind piece that honors our legacy, our values, and the continuity of a story we have built over 122 years.

Inspired by our León Family Creed—“We are proudly a family of rural origin, forged through persistent work under a strong sun”—this humidor represents the very essence of who we are. That strong, constant, and unwavering sun is the spirit behind Fuerte Sol and has guided every step of our journey.

The piece was conceived and designed by Livi León, a member of the fourth generation, who integrated into every detail the principles that have defined us from the very beginning: discipline, perseverance, and respect for the land. Crafted from Saman wood—an emblematic tree of the Caribbean and the Cibao Valley, recognized for its resilience and longevity—the humidor symbolizes strength over time and deep-rooted foundations. Its exterior, hand-carved with flowing tobacco leaves in relief and finished with a satin sheen, highlights the natural warmth of the wood and bears the Family Creed emblem.

Inside, lined with cedar, the humidor features a hand-painted artwork by Livi León depicting the Finca de Jacagua at sunrise. The painting captures the beginning of each day beneath a strong sun that provides purpose and direction, encapsulating the true character of Fuerte Sol.

Within this singular piece, we preserve 122 Family Creed: Fuerte Sol cigars, commemorating our 122 years. Each cigar was crafted in an exclusive Belicoso Box Press vitola, created solely for this edition and never to be reproduced. The humidor is accompanied by a personal letter from Guillermo León, our President, further contextualizing the significance of this creation within our history.

During the gala auction, the Signature Collector’s Humidor reached a final bid of US$44,000. As tradition holds, the proceeds will be allocated to charitable causes, supporting Voluntariado Jesús con los Niños and Hospicio San Vicente de Paúl, reaffirming the social commitment that remains an essential part of our legacy.

With this presentation, we once again affirm our ability to unite tradition, symbolism, and artisanal excellence in a singular creation that transcends time and stands as a tangible testament to our history.
