Our master blender, Manuel Inoa, toured Europe this summer. Among his appointments, he gave a master class in Italy on July 2nd. Our distributor in the country, ITA Agency, has published an interesting video about the event on its Youtube channel. It was a meeting about La Aurora 115th Anniversary, with ITA Agency’s Brand manager, Enrico Della Pietà, as master of ceremonies.

In the master class, Manuel Inoa explained that La Aurora 115 Aniversario is a cigar with an Ecuadorian wrapper, Dominican binder and Dominican, Peruvian, Brazilian and Nicaraguan tobaccos in the filler.

He also commented that when smoking a cigar you have to mentally divide it into thirds: first, second and last third. Because over the course of the smoke, the cigar must change from third to third, as our master blender explained.

Like this you can truly appreciate the different notes of wood, spices, honey, chocolate, vanilla, roasted coffee, smoked wood and so on… According to Manuel Inoa, a cigar brings back memories of the past as it is smoked.

Manuel Inoa recommends smoking a cigar when you are happy, in good company, with a book or good food. You can watch the video summary of this event, called ‘La Aurora Cigars night beach party’, held at Marina Club Jesolo, in Venice, Italy.
