This Tuesday, La Aurora received the highest distinction of the National Quality Award for the Private Sector of the Dominican Republic. The President of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abinader, and the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Víctor Bisonó, who attended the event as guests, were in charge of presenting the award to the company’s president, Guillermo León.
“We will continue our successful career, with the firmness, discipline, and passion that characterizes us; to maintain our world-class standards and continue our 120 years of uninterrupted work”, Guillermo León, president of La Aurora, said.
For La Aurora, this distinction means a challenge to continue increasing its quality standards and a commitment to excellence in all its processes.
These awards seek to encourage the exchange of experience between companies that have developed a management model of excellence, with outstanding results, in addition to fostering a culture of quality worthy of imitation by companies nationwide.
Pride in the Dominican Republic’s world-class products and services
As explained by the director of the National Quality Award for the Private Sector (PNC-SP), Ignacio Méndez, during the 5th edition of the awards, the awards aim to contribute towards generating pride in the world-class products and services that the country has.
“It is an award that promotes integrated quality management in Dominican companies and aims to increase their competitiveness, unemployment and sustainability, foster their continuous improvement and promote their transformation into world-class companies,” said Méndez.
In addition, the director of the National Quality Award for the Private Sector thanked all the actors who made the awards ceremony possible, the entire team, the evaluators and the jury. He also thanked the European Union, which has been supporting the Dominican Republic in everything related to the National Quality Policy; in particular by supporting the process of these awards at all times.
