The La Aurora 120 Aniversario humidor, which was auctioned as part of the last Procigar Festival, fetched a massive $75,000 at the event. This amount plus the proceeds from the other humidors total $440,000, which will be donated across three charities.

Our humidor pays tribute to the 120th anniversary of the oldest cigar factory in the Dominican Republic, which will be celebrated on the 3rd of October. Made of walnut, it has rose gold details and a statue of an amber-coloured lion on top. The interior of the humidor is made of cedar and has some leather touches.

The auctioned humidor was stocked with 400 cigars, including La Aurora 100 Años, La Aurora 107, La Aurora 115 Aniversario and the latest release, La Aurora 120 Aniversario.

The auction, held on Friday 24th of February as part of the festival’s closing gala dinner, raises money for the non-profit organisations Voluntariado Jesús con los Niños (a charity which cares for sick children), Hospicio San Vicente Paúl (a residence for people of low-income) and the Procigar-driven initiative ‘Un hogar para mi familia’ (A home for my family).

Scrivo dall’Italia.
