La Aurora releases La Aurora Family Reserve Fernando León Belicoso Limited Edition, an extremely limited production cigar: 1,800 boxes worldwide. Introduced last July at the last Premium Cigar Association (PCA) convention for the U.S. market, it is now being introduced in Europe, where only 500 boxes will be available.
Before his passing, Fernando León was know as one of the top experts in Dominican Tobacco and stood out for his passion for Corojo and special projects with it as a wrapper leaf. Is has been 13 years since his last special project was conceptualized and it has now come to fruition as a limited edition blend of Peruvian, Brazilian, Nicaraguan, and of course, Dominican Cibao Valley fillers, bound and balanced by an Ecuadorian Sumatra leaf, and dressed in Don Fernando’s Incredibly special 13-year extra-aged corojo wrapper. This cigar, crafted by La Aurora’s passionate artisan rollers, is Fernando Leon’s posthumous love-letter to the cigar community available in only 1,800 boxes worldwide.
Fernando León Belicoso Limited Edition (6 ¼ x 52) offers pepper aroma and wood notes in the first third. In the second third, there are a pepper rush of coffee notes, evolving in the last third from pepper flavors into citrus zest. It is presented in boxes of 15 units.
