Inside an atmosphere filled with rich aromas and flavors, La Aurora participated in the “Tobacco and Rum Night” organized by the Center for Export and Investment of the Dominican Republic (ProDominicana).

Participants enjoyed our La Aurora 1903 Ecuador Robusto cigar, accompanied by Premium E. León Jimenes 110 Aniversario rum and Kora Café. During the event, our master roller, Magdaleno Bonilla, captivated attendees with his cigar-rolling artistry.

The event highlighted the excellence and tradition of Dominican tobacco and its products. Tobacco exports reached US$1,214.1 million in 2023 and totaled US$417.7 million between January and April 2024, showing a year-on-year growth of 9.7% in the first four months. We are proud to be part of this significant growth, strengthening our tobacco sector’s global position.

Biviana Riveiro, the executive director of ProDominicana, emphasized that these statistics reflect the success of ProDominicana’s efforts in promoting local products internationally. This work has included participation in over 200 fairs and events across approximately 50 markets.

Also, our rum E. León Jimenes 110 Aniversario was highlighted. This product, aged for ten years, embodies our tradition and excellence. Additionally, the production and export of rum at the national level were discussed. The significant contribution of the National District as the leading rum-exporting province was appreciated, representing 61.98% of total exports, followed by San Pedro de Macorís with 28.43%, Santo Domingo with 3.31%, La Romana with 3.10%, and Santiago with 2.86%. These figures confirm the Dominican Republic’s leadership in rum production and export

Together, we strive to achieve new heights of mastery and distinction in our products, knowing that our commitment to continuous improvement is key to delighting our consumers and customers with exceptional experiences.
