On October 3, 1903 Eduardo León Jimenes founded, at only 18 years old, the factory of La Aurora, in Don Pedro, community of Guazumal. This is the start of the history of the oldest tobacco company in the Dominican Republic. All this long time of work, effort and dedication has been reflected in the quality of the cigars that it produces.
The company, which was born with a small investment and only six cigar rollers, currently has a global dimension, with presence in 85 countries. But its growth and expansion has not prevented it from continuing with the tobacco tradition. For example, it pays tribute to a tobacco process that comes from the tahinos, the Andullo, whose tobacco is used in the La Aurora Dominican DNA cigar.
And to attest to its good work learned throughout all these years and celebrate the long journey in the cigar world, La Aurora has created La Aurora 115 Anniversary Limited Edition, a cigar with tobacco from the Cibao Valley (Dominican Republic) in the wrapper, de binder and the filler, plus Brazilian tobacco in the filler.
In this video, the master blender of La Aurora, Manuel Inoa, makes a presentation of the new cigar and invites cigar lovers to consume it:
“Hello, I’m Manuel Inoa, La Aurora master blender. This year we are celebrating our 115th anniversary of foundation and for this occasion we have launched a very special cigar, La Aurora 115 Anniversary Limited Edition. Only 3.000 boxes have been made for everyone and 800 jars. I hope you enjoy this wonderful cigar that we have designes for you. Many thanks”, says the master blender.
