Our La Aurora 107 Nicaragua cigar in Robusto format has received 92 points from the Blind Man’s Puff smokers panel. The experts of this journal gave it good scores in each one of the aspects of their review, published on February 17.
“I’m a definite fan of this flavor profile and would recommend this to anyone who can handle full flavors and strength..,” says one of the experts in the review summary.
The blend for the La Aurora 107 Nicaragua starts with a dark Nicaraguan Habano wrapper and finishes with Nicaraguan binder and filler. It is made in the next vitolas: Robusto (5×50), Toro (5.75×54) and Gran Toro (6×58). All are packed in boxes of 20.
La Aurora 107 Nicaragua is a “beautiful chestnut cigar”
Specifically, the panelists awarded 91 points to its appearance. “This a beautiful chestnut cigar with even color throughout. Tight and nearly invisible seams that is finished with a triple cap. It is soft, silky, and oil. It is a very nice cigar to look at,” they say.
Regarding the aroma, which is awarded 90 points, they point out that is slightly sweet. “There is a honey scent at the wrapper and a woodsy spices at the foot,” they point out. And regarding taste, these experts give La Aurora 107 Nicaragua a score of 92 points.
Notes of earth, pepper and wood
During the first third, they find notes of rich earth and spicy black pepper, with hints of bold dark roast coffee. Also, they consider it “pretty potent right off the bat”. “Nice and bold overall,” they say.
About the second third, they discover graham cracker flavors, but also notice that hints of rich dark woody linger. Experts also note that it continues to produce a large amount of smoke at this point.
In the last third, they find a transition to “peat and charred wood”, as well as a deep rich tobacco flavor that takes the lead over others. They also find cocoa and licorice flavors. “This cigar ends on a high note,” they conclude.
