Our La Aurora 107 Nicaragua cigar is ranked number 6 in the Top 25 of 2020 by ‘Cigar Journal’ magazine. Specifically, this good classification is for the Robusto format (5 x 50) of this cigar from our Tobaccos of the World collection.
“Ten years after the launch of one of the most successful cigars, La Aurora 107 Aniversario, the oldest factory in the Dominican Republic has taken on the task of revamping this popular series under a new umbrella brand: Tobaccos of the World”, explains the magazine .
And it adds: “The first big hit of the revised 107 is this 100% Nicaraguan cigar: La Aurora 107 Nicaragua Robusto. The line is completed by the 107 Ecuador (the original), the 107 USA (originally Maduro) and the 107 República Dominicana (originally Cosecha)”.
La Aurora 107 Nicaragua, “an exciting, diverse and harmonious cigar”
According to the experts of ‘Cigar Journal’, it’s a cigar with a pleasant, cool and creamy smoke, in which they initially detect aromas of bitter chocolate and coffee. Then spices such as caraway, nutmeg and pepper accompany the aromas. “An exciting, diverse and harmonious cigar,” they conclude.
This magazine awarded 92 points in September to La Aurora 107 Nicaragua. Our master blender, Manuel Inoa, presented this cigar to the magazine’s smokers panel in a virtual meeting held in May. He detailed all the characteristics of our latest release so that the experts at ‘Cigar Journal’ could see them first-hand when tasting our cigar.
This cigar of the 107 line is made exclusively of Nicaraguan tobacco for the wrapper, the binder, and the filler. As our master blender explains, its blend contains tobaccos from two regions of Nicaragua—Condega and Estelí—and leaves from different parts of the tobacco plant.
