La Aurora 100 Años no.4 (in corona format) is among the cigars selected for the Connoisseur’s Corner in the ‘Cigar Aficionado’ magazine. Our cigar, which was created to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the factory, is in this section of the magazine with a rating of 94 points.

Review author and magazine executive director David Savona says: “This little Dominican puro is spicy and herbal, showing plenty of power that 16 years of aging have yet to temper.”

And he adds: “There’s a heavy wood character framed by spicy licorice. The austere start gives way to some pleasant sweet maple notes that bond well with the wood, and the herbal quality remains. A strong, distinctive and flavorful cigar from the DR’s oldest producer.”

La Aurora 100 Años is composed of 100% Dominican tobaccos in the wrapper, binder and filler. With a high strength, the tasting notes of this cigar give off wood, leather, cocoa, almond and honey-floral with sweet touches. As our master blender, Manuel Inoa, defines it, “a true flavor festival”.

La Aurora 100 Años, named the world’s best Dominican cigar in 2005

In 2005, Cigar Aficionado magazine awarded La Aurora 100 años Belicoso the award for The Best Dominican Cigar in the World. This cigar was created to celebrate our 100 years of producing excellent cigars, so this achievement for this unforgettable blend was the highest tribute to our faithful consumers.

In addition to this accomplishment, La Aurora 100 Años has received different ratings between 91 and 93 points by different specialized magazines (Cigar Aficionado, Cigar Snob). We manufacture it in four formats: Robusto, Belicoso, Churchill and Corona (N°4).
