The founder’s surnames
Released in 1987, La Aurora wanted to look back to its ancestors producing a new premium brand as a tribute to the company founders. That’s León Jimenes, the cigar that wears the surnames of those who worked hard to make it possible: Eduardo León Jimenes, the actual founder, and his brother Herminio León Jimenes, the man that kept alive the Leon’s family legacy and tradition when Eduardo died in 1937. Fifty years after, La Aurora started the production of the new brand, looking for the trendy Connecticut wrapper consumers, who like smooth and elegant smoke with wooden flavors, bitter cocoa and nutty spots. Binder and filler were initially only from Dominican Cibao Valley’s best leaves, but some Nicaraguan tobacco was finally added by our master blender in order to reach the taste and aroma consistence. Without a doubt, the result is at the heights of its surnames.
Smooth and quiet smoke, León Jimenes offers the classical flavors related to the Connecticut wrapper: wood, cocoa notes, creamy, nutty…This is a perfect smoke for amateur consumers but, also, for those who just want to find a peaceful moment of enjoyment.
