La Aurora Cigar Factory for more than a century has been producing some the world’s best cigars. A tobacco and family tradition that transcends the upheavals of history, providing excellent cigars to tobacco lovers everywhere. It all started when Eduardo León Jimenes, 18, son and grandson of tobacco growers, assumed the responsibility of managing the plantation bequeathed by his father. Years later, in 1903, with a small investment and the resolute intention of manufacturing a product of excellent quality, The Aurora Cigar Factory was opened in Don Pedro, in the Guazumal community, initiating the century old history of the León Jimenes Group.

Today the group shelters this enterprise that, along with Cervecería Nacional Dominicana, C. por A. and Cervecería Bohemia, S.A., focus on the manufacture of mass consumption products, commercialization and provision of services.

La Aurora manufactures and exports the Aurora Preferidos, Aurora 100 años, Aurora, Aurora 1495 Series, León Jimenes and Leoninos. To this moment the markets reached are the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, México and Europe.
